Name: Chunky Tail

Requirements:

Description: Sluggy, but not slimey.
Application: Give your Draken a thick, fat tail that looks like the example image. All existing markings may stretch and morph to fit the new shape. This tail type can be combined with any tail tip your draken can apply.

Name: Shark Tail
Release: January 2020
Type: Standard
Requirements:
• Level 20
Description: Duuuun dunn... Duuuun dunn....
Application: Your Draken grows a spike about halfway down their tail, and a sharp looking fin on the tip. This does not extend the tail, and the fin at the end must match the example image as closely as possible. Any markings the Draken has on their tail can warp to fit the new shape. This tail cannot be combined with any tail tip upgrades.

Name: Teardrop Tail Fin

• The character your applying this upgrade to must know at least Tier 5 Water Magic
Description: Stylish, but not the most practical.
Application: Your character grows a single set of four rounded fins like the ones depicted above, with a band along the end of each fin. Fins can be any colour on your Draken's elemental palette.

Name: Fuzzy Axolotl Tail

Description: Wait. Is that suppose to be fuzzy?
Application: A thin tail stretched out surrounded by a soft fuzz. The thin tail must be the base color that already existed on your character. The fuzz on the sides of that tail may be any color already pre-exisitng on your character.

Name: Plush Star Tail

Description: You are always the star in the room when you got a place to sit no matter what!
Application: A comfy, plush tail that's shaped like a star! The base of the star must be a color currently present on your Astralit, but the patches can be any color within the standard color rules. There may be 1-3 patches on the star, and the tail may be no bigger than 1/3 of your Astralit.

Description: Looks like somebody is Cupid's favorite!
Application: You may give your Nyulop an elongated tail, with three heart shaped stacked 'horns' on the tip, and two heart tipped antenna swirls on the side! They also sport a little pair of rounded 'wings' on the side. The hearts may be any three shades of the same color from darkest to lightest, while the wings may be the lightest shade of the same color as the hearts, OR they may be the pinks shown in the swatch. The heart antenna tips match the middle stacked heart in color!

Name: Egghbutt

Description: There's a spottom on your bottom
Application: Your character retains half an eggshell on their tail. The color of the eggshell is determined on species.

Name: Puff Tail

Requirements:

• Draw your character with the Sprout Tail upgrade in three(3) images
Description: What a soft tail!
Application: Your Astralit grows a fluffy tail! This tail should remain a puff shape and not grow much longer. Any markings on the tail warp to fit.

Name: Shadow Tail
Release: March 5th, 2026
Type: Standard
Requirements:
• Level 16
• Be a Shadow Astralit
Description: A tail of darkness
Application: Your Astralit grows a tail made of tangible shadows. These shadows flow and form into non-specific cloud-like shapes, and should be no bigger than your Astralit's torso on default. Others' hands can pass through these shadows but your character can move and swish their tail like it was a normal tail. These shadows may be a dark grey OR a darker version of a color currently found on your Astralit. These shadows must not be pure black (#000000).
This tail IS compatible with other tail types, creating a shadowed version of that tail. All markings are removed when combining this with other tails. View examples here.

Name: Mystic Tail

Description: A whimsical, magical tail!
Application: Grow a long, slender tail with a tufted tip! The tail retains all colors it had previously, with placements warping to fit the new shape.

Type: Quest
Requirements:
•  Complete all three assignments in Atlas' Wash Class
Description: Are you using your tail as a canvas?
Application: Replaces your tail with the one seen on the swatch. Its base colour must be a colour already on your Draken's scales and the watercolour markings may be any one color you'd like, so long as it abides by the standard color rules. The added color may not be mixed anywhere else.

Requirements:

Description: Better stay away from bitey creatures...
Application: Turns your character's tail into a squeaky balloon!

The tail can be one or two balloons, and can be tied similar to a balloon animal. This can be combined with other tails; so long as the tail can be made out of a maximum of two balloons and are no longer than a standard of that species' arms. Combining with Serpent Tail is allowed.

The balloons can be any colour on your character, following standard colour rules,  #FF0000, #FFFF00, or #0000FF. The latter set of options may not be colour mixed elsewhere on the character.

Description: Oh hey that's kinda ne- OH IT FILL OFF-
Application: Makes your Finley's current tail attached by a small round pin. The tail can be un-pinned at will, or can fall off when the Finley is startled. Pin can be any colour currently on the character or grey.

Name: Dawn Cloud Tail
Release: August 20th, 2026

Requirements:
• Complete a Pilgrimage to Cíntwe
Description: You've caught the sunrise in your tail.
Application: Your character grows a long, feather tipped tail as shown in the upgrade image. From the tip, a cloud grows, with an orb nestled within the cloud. The "sun" and the clouds may be any two colors following the standard color rules. The clouds may have false "lighting" markings on them that match the color of the orb, as depicted in the swatch. The tail must match the color from which it sprouted.

Name: Frilly Tail

Requirements:
• Complete a Pilgrimage to Guinevere
Description: Now you look fancy, Guinevere would approve!
Application: Your Finley has a long thick frilled tail that resembles Guinevere's. The frill splits at the top and wraps all the way around the tail. The base of the tail is thick while the end of the tail flattens out. The tail base color matches your previous tail, while the rest can be any color on your finley. You may add a gradient that can be any color following the standard color rules. Consult this guide on how to draw said tail.

Name: Celestial Markings
Release: December 16th 2017
Type: Limited Edition, Member milestone
Requirements:
• Originally rewarded for participation in the 300+ Member milestone event
Description: My aren't you spiffy! What a snazzy looking marking you have.
Application: You may apply these markings in one of two ways. You may either 1) apply a sun OR moon marking somewhere on your character; or 2) apply a sun and moon marking somewhere on your character. Markings are allowed to be applied anywhere on your character, and may vary somewhat in size, but should not be very large (feel free to inquire before applying). Markings are gradient. No overlapping of sun and moon markings are permitted. Please ensure that the moon remains a crescent and that there are at least six points to the sun. They may be any colour you would like, but nothing black, white or grey.

Name: Heart Markings

• Originally rewarded for completion of Entry one in the Heartsgiving 2018 event
Description: What a unique marking to have! Is it different from other markings in some way? Sure feels like it...
Application: You may apply this upgrade to your finley. You may give them 1-3 (one to three) heart shaped markings. These markings may be any shade of red or pink OR any colour currently on your finley. These markings are unique! Unlike other heart-shaped markings, those earned on Heartsgiving provide one the ability to comfort others while embracing them. The hearts provide a warm and soothing feeling through physical contact that can be calming to others.

Name: THE BIG STAR
Release: June 13th, 2018
Type: Limited Edition, Starsail
Requirements:

• Originally rewarded for being active between June 13th 2018 and July 13th 2018
Description: It's time to shine like the star you really are!
Application: Give your finley a single large star (approximately the size in the example), which can be any colour you would like so long as it isn't pure black or pure white. The star can only be a five-point one. The marking can be applied anywhere on your finley's pelt.
