September 2025 Newsletter

Hello Crestians! Welcome to a new edition of the Flowering Star!

As we wrap up our Starsail activities and summer fun, fall is just around the corner.
And with it, we've got a few new goodies going on this month! So we hope you have a blast exploring the various activities!

First and Foremost, Whistler Crest will be open to new registration from Sep. 1st -Sep. 3rd. If anyone you may know is interested in joining, be sure to let them know we're open! If you post Whistler Crest's openings on any social media site and submit a claim showing it off, you'll receive 30 capella! This will stack with any referral rewards so be sure that anyone who joins because of your posts mentions you, so you can get those sweet, sweet rewards!

Secondly, The Whistler Crest staff has been hard at work re-vamping the capella/ringel system to make earning capella and purchasing items more fun, interactive, and integral to many of the features that you can partake in in Whistler Crest. We are hoping to encourage more use of features such as Illnesses, The Great Rite, Pilgrimages, Housing, Jobs, the Re-Quest Board, and more! So stay tuned as these features are updated across the site, and see how much you can earn from each!

But what good is earning money, with nothing to spend it on? Worry not my fellow Shop-a-holics! Because the staff has also been hard at work creating new items to purchase! Some items may even grand you an extra boon of some sort if you're lucky, so keep your peepers peeled on those shop pages these next few weeks! You might just see some new goodies to buy!

Once again We on the Staff team want to thank our community for being so incredible and understanding as we work on transferring everything to the new site! You make all the hard work and effort worth it! <3

Speaking of new ways to earn capella...

It appears our town Sheriff is undergoing a transformation! Mae has gotten a new look!

and with this transformation--

A New Creature Feature Project: SplitStreakers

"While much about the intricate details of how Amelio Phenomena works is still vastly unknown, it appears it can be triggered by a finley's feelings and deeper connections! I simply must catalog what could have caused such a drastic transformation! Should our sheriff be willing to disclose what seeing these little birds means to her!

Dust off those badges creature researchers! Looks like Tobias has a new quest for you, at the humble request of the town Sheriff: Mae. Seems like some New Prosperos fowl called Split Streakers have migrated and settled down in the western outskirts of Whistler Crest! If you plan to help document these new birds, be sure to submit your claims with links to any earned Creature Researcher Badges. The more you have, the more capella you'll earn! Click here to view the Creature Page for Splitstreakers, and learn all about Whistler Crest's new feathery neighbors!

Prompt 1 can be found here and will last from September 1st to September 15th

Prompt 2 will be available starting September 16th and will last until September 30th

Even though both prompts will be released at different times, you will still have until September 30th at 11:59 PM EST to complete both! So feel free to complete them at your leisure!

Happy Researching!

These vary in level, so make sure you can earn them before applying!

With this, it appears we've reached the end of this month's newsletter, as always thank you for reading and we'll see you next--

Hey! Wait a minute! Who's that bounding in the distance? Looks like they're headed our way, AND FAST!

Meet Jack!

Whistler Crest's Newest Postman! He's decided to re-build WC's old Post Office, and has enlisted the local residents to lend a hand! Completing the Post Office CWP Project will reward players with a new interactable building and a new job--and we'll finally get our news room relocated from Tobias' basement! We can almost smell the fresh air and printer ink from here!

Post Office CWP can be found HERE

Now, we've reached the end this month's newsletter. Thank you for reading, and we hope to see you again next month!

August 2025 Newsletter

Hello Crestians! Welcome to a new edition of the Flowering Star!

This month isnt going to be a huge newsletter, but it does bring some important announcements!

Firstly, the release of the highly anticipated Universal MYO Guide! This completely redoes the original MYO system, and reimagines it all into one convenient space for all three species! Included in this are new color picking systems, a more cohesive height guide (you may have seen 'Heads high' in MYO approvals as of late!) and condenses the vital creation info into one neat page!
With this release, Draken have officially retired their Elementally confined palettes, and have unlocked true Unlimited Colors, similar to Nyulop and Astralit! We can feel this will be an exciting change for the community in making even more great designs, and we cant wait to see what you do!

Secondly: the release of Astralit Magic! Upon growing up, your Astralit, they now can fully tap into their magical potential with TWO different magic types! How exciting!!

You can find all the needed information on the linked page above, but they will also be linked here for ease of viewing
Magic directory || Constellation buffs

With the release of Adult Astralit, we decided to release some upgrades for them to grow up into!
The new AP can be found below!

These vary in level, so make sure you can earn them before applying!

Starsail continues going strong its second month! Stalls remain open for art submissions, and Spirit interaction prompts remain open as well.

The Lorekeeper is also closed this month to allow for the influx of new users to settle in properly. Registration will reopen like normal September 1st-3rd. Referral prizes ARE active, so if you have friends you wannt invite, be sure to have them put your name!
The Lorekeeper has also updated with a few new guides for everyone to look at! They are always open to view, and also take constructive comments and advice to help improve user QOL and help make them more cohesive! They can be found under Lorekeeper Guides, and General Guides on Information Station.

With this, we end this months newsletter. Thank you for reading, and we hope to see you again next month!

Hello everybody! Welcome to another wonderful year of Starsail festivities, and boy do we have a bunch of goodies for you all so prepare for a read!

The Ssael migration seems to have been delayed, but the long-awaited critters have finally appeared in the sky over the Whistler Crest!
The stalls are buzzing with activity, the food smells amazing, and theres so many things to look forward to!
Time to celebrate-
Wait a minute....something seems.....different.....

The air is charged with a tangible energy, and there seems to be a few stars that are shining MUCH brighter than normal....and....coming CLOSER????
Oh Circles- BRACE FOR IMPACT!
.......
No impact is heard, but instead....A sharp glow of light is seen, and three absolutely MASSIVE figures appear in front of you

NPC-052: BismoNPC-053: NodelNPC-054: Knantu

They introduce themselves as Bismo, Nodel, and Knantu
They are travellers from beyond the planet we reside on, and they have decided to come planetside due to the rather high amount of 'Little Stars' who they claim they can help!

These three look like Astralits....but obviously theyre much larger than anyone anybody else has ever seen! And they have joints like a fancy wooden doll! Is this what adult Astralits look like...?
Bismo laughs, and says that they are actually 'Proto-Astralit', otherwise known as to the folks below, as Space Debris! And not just any Space Debris, but Isochronal Space Debris! They have graciosuly constructed forms for their Essence and Cores that would be easier for planetside finley to comprehend, though they all apologize for the rather large size difference-

Nodel clears his throat softly, and Bismo quiets down to let him speak

Nodel steps forward, and says they have arrived here to help the young Astralits here unlock their full potential, and finally grow into proper Stars. Or, to word it clearer, to finally become Adults! And not just grow up- but finally start wielding Magic as well! They all realize it is a large thing to undertake, so they will do their best to break the large amounts of knowledge they are going to bestow into manageble bits.

Both locations have simultatious access to these three Isochronal Spirits during the entire month of July, and with them, comes unique prompts, and chances for AP!

Nodel brings the gift of ancestral knowledge, stories from beyond the stars about Astralit and Space Debris of eons past for the newest generation of  little stars spread across the continents!

He teaches Shadow magic, being of the primordial Order of Black Hole.
He tells stories all through the day and night, and is quite easy to find in either location where he may be due to his towering status!
Bismo brings the gift of the joy of the space and the great Unknown. He adores lanternmaking, and teaches anybody that wishes to know how to create one as offerings, how to do so!

He teaches Light magic, being from the primordial Order of Supernova!
He can be found in the outer fields outside Whistler Crest, or by the sea on the Isle of Xaaida
Knantu brings the gift of the Constellations, and how to navigate from anywhere with their wise guidance and Gifts.

He also teaches young Gravity Astralits how to wield their Manefestations, being of the primordial Order of Pulsar.
You can find him either setting up competitons and building structures on the Island, or manning a Starsail Strongman mini-stall on the Mainland

For interacting with these Spirits you can actually earn unique AP! It seems repeated and prolonged exposure to either, or all of three has an effect on your body, and you start to take on bits of their appearances! How neat!
*You must complete all of a Spirits prompts in order to claim their upgrade

Nebulocks

it seems that the extra Mana in the air has also resulted in an explosion of new Starsail AP! (including a returning favorite non seasonal!)

How do i earn these upgrades?

*Note: Starsail related means playing at stalls, interacting with the Spirits, or drawing your character doing traditional Starsail activities or for the Islanders, traditional summertime festivities (playing in the ocean, painting stars on one another, stargazing ect)!
These upgrades may be applied once per location! So once for the Mainland, and once for the Island!

• Heterochromia (Universal) will be available to apply once to one (1) character, if you submit three fully polished fullbody Starsail related entries. Collabs do not count, and the upgrade must be applied to the character featured in the image.

• For completing 1 Starsail related picture with at least a medium background and halfbody, you may unlock 1 rarity of choice to any character, Mainland or Islander

•For completing 3 Starsail related pictures with at least a medium background and halfbody, you may unlock 2 rarities of choice to any character, Mainland or Islander

•For completing 5 Starsail related pictures with at least a medium background and halfbody, you may unlock 4 rarities of choice to any character, Mainland or Islander

•For completing 7 Starsail related pictures with at least a medium background and halfbody, you may unlock all 7 rarities to any character, Mainland or Islander

(Small reminder! since this years Starsail takes place during Artfight, we encourage to have your Starsail images ALSO be attacks! Its a two in one feature! You also get that tasty tasty gift EXP!)

The long awaited has finally came.....the Growing up of your astralit!
Bipedal vs. Quad Astralit Adults

Using the guidance of the Isochronal Space Debris, you can now finally begin the journey to adulthood after so long! Seems like the unlocking of your base Manefestations was the missing key preventing you from shooting up into your teens like your peers, and now youre finally on their level!
I wonder what youre going to look like all grown up?

Click here to read the adult guide!

With adults released, the ban on making Astralits with keys, transferring in characters as Astralits, and potioning your characters into Astralits has now been lifted! They are free to create now, same as Nyulop and Draken

Starsail Stalls

With all the other hubub out of the way, heres a place to find all the standard Starsail activities!
In order to play the four automated stalls, you must draw an entry meeting the various criteria, submit it to the Starsail gallery, and submit it to the linked prompt to claim Stardust!
Stardust is the Starsail exclusive currency used to function the prize wheels, and will be automatically deposited to your account once the prompt is submitted.

Blooper Mayhem!

It seems that during the mayhem of this years Starsail, the little mischief bringing Bloopers have also arrived! Heralded by the arrival of the Lorge Blooper, it seems that this year, a new face has trailed along behind the migration as well!
Maybe you could lend Mr. Dray a helping hand in wrangling these two-inch terrors?
