These are Tattoos your character has. If you unequip the tattoo from your character, it is the same as the character cleaning the tattoo off, and will not be able to be put back on unless your re-purchase it.
These are protective gears that your character can equip once purchased from Oren, or earned some other way. They have certain stats and attributes to them that are beneficia in battle.
