Sirens are rare creatures, found high in mountains scattered across Kladeon. They hide amongst blizzards or buried in the snow, hunting for their prey amongst the cold. Sirens are carnivorous, and will eat anything from animals to finley themselves. As they are ambush predators, they lure their prey close to them. The slits along their sides emit an illusionary smoke, allowing the Siren to lure their prey close to where they are hiding, before snatching and killing the creature. It’s said that they will suck out the creatures’ mana to power their illusions, but it’s unclear if that is true or if the Siren absorbs mana from the air itself. For most creatures, the Siren simply produces illusions of sound or food to lure them close, but for finley, they adopt different tactics.
Sirens will occasionally descend from the peaks they call their home, only during the winter months and frequently during snowfall or winter storms. In towns near and in these mountains, during these storms, a figure will appear. Accounts of what this figure is will differ, with some seeing a beautiful Draken, some seeing an elderly Astralit, some seeing an injured baby Nyulop. Some will even see animals, rare albino creatures. Whatever the figure is, it calls to the one it wants to lure, beckoning them to follow it. It needs help, it’s what you’ve been searching for. Its voice is enchanting, and incredibly difficult to resist. Those who follow it are led up to the peak of a mountain, where a sudden blizzard overtakes them, and the Siren, no longer hidden, consumes them.

Sirens feed through two ways. They absorb mana from finley they are luring to bolster their strength and illusions. When they have captured their prey, they will kill by latching onto their victim, sucking the life from them with their rows of razor sharp teeth, or simply grinding the creature in their mouth.
How do you know if the very thing you are seeing in a storm is a Siren? As the Siren disguises itself to lure finley, not sending illusory images, the slits along its ribs remain in all forms to maintain its image. Additionally, all forms they take maintain their bright blue eyes. If the one you are seeing has the bright blue eyes of a Siren and is hiding its chest, be cautious, and do not follow it alone to the mountain’s peak.
