Expedition: Windsong Mountain Monster

Teles has gathered together a sizable team of explorers ready to brave the mountain and find the monster she saw in her visions. With any amount of luck, you will find the beast and keep the inhabitants of the island safe!

Rising high above the boreal forests of the island of Xaaida, large mountains stretch across the land. Uniquely amongst the range stands Windsong Mountain, a mountain with a curved peak and high winds whipping across it. The mountains are bitterly cold with the strong blizzards that have been ravaging it for so long. Warm weather gear is recommended, and if you have a Fire Draken with you, you’ll be able to stave off the cold a little.

Around the mountain are thick forests full of pine, and the primary predator are Pieshu Major that prowl the woods. A thick blanket of snow blankets the slopes that you will have to forge through, and the only footholds you can find to climb the cliffs are icy rocks. As you climb the mountain itself, Greater Snowbirds roam amongst the snow, short-tempered and charging with fury any who approach their firns. Be wary of these beasts, lest you encounter one.

The peak itself is your goal, where Teles’ visions showed the monster descended from. As you climb, keep an eye out for any sign of mysterious tracks. Many tracks are lost in the snow and winds, but maybe you can find some evidence of this creature. And as you climb, you do feel… watched.

Potential encounters

Due to the blizzards on the mountain, your character must have some sort of cold weather gear. It’s strongly recommended to collaborate with someone who can create warmth, such as a fire Draken!
Additionally, Teles particularly encouraged magic users to join, as she said if the monster is found, you will need that strength.

Xaaida does not have a questing guild, however, it would be dangerous to not travel the mountain without at least a partner. You may form a temporary team of up to 4 characters to take part in this expedition if you so choose.
Although Xaaida does not have a questing guild, your character must be an adult to join this Expedition.

Major or plot-heavy areas will be explored over the course of one real-world month.

If you run solo, you should complete 1 image or writing total (one image per user) before the end of the expedition.
If you have 2 team members, your team should complete 2 images or writings total (one image per user) before the end of the expedition.
If you have 3 team members, your team should complete 3 images or writings total (one image per user) before the end of the expedition.
If you have a full party (4 team members), your team should complete 4 images or writings total (one image per user) before the end of the expedition.

Each team member can draw as many separate entries as required - (If you choose this option, EVERY TEAM MEMBER MUST DRAW AT LEAST ONE IMAGE.) - OR you can choose to collaborate with your team members to meet the requirement. View the collaboration requirements on the guild page linked above.

REWARDS

In order to qualify for rewards, the team leader must submit their entry to the prompt, and include a link to all other images if there are any. If the collaboration option is chosen, the team leader must be the one to submit the final image(s), and assure that all team members are listed as collaborators. Team members then may submit a claim for their rewards after the prompt is approved.
(In the event that your team leader is absent and you have completed your work, your assistant leader should submit everyone's work in their stead.)

Soloists who participate in this expedition will recieve +50 EXP and +5 Capella.
Duos who participate in this expedition will recieve +100 EXP and +10 Capella.
Trios who participate in this expedition will recieve +150 EXP and +15 Capella.
Squads who participate in this expedition will recieve +200 EXP and +20 Capella.

Upon completion of this expedition, there will be something more to encounter only for those who have taken it, so participation is encouraged!
