The Boo was too Stunned to speak

Boo stood, stunned, as he watched the scene take place in front of him. His mind struggled to put the pieces of what had just happened together- was this the monster Teles has been speaking of? Where had she gone? His grip on his dagger strengthened. He had hoped, naively, that they wouldn't have to face an actual monster. A monster of this size, living so close to his home? He had found it hard to believe. He would never have accused Teles of lying. He had simply hoped that her visions weren't so. Literal.

Boo felt a paw on his arm- Avezi, behind him, pulling him back. She had her own dagger ready, and a downright murderous look on her face that made it clear that boo did *not* want to get in her way right now. Avezi had mountains worth of preparation for this scenario, and Boo briefly wondered if the nyulop was aware of just how unprepared Boo was. Surely she did. After all, she was the one to remind him to bring a weapon in the first place.

He stood helplessly as he watched Avezi fight the monster off. Around him, more members of the expedition sprung into action, dropping their bags to the ground as they pushed past Boo to get to the monster. Boo was pushed further to the back as they did. He didn't want to fight. Was that a selfish action?

In front of him, the battle was truly getting started now. Weapons and magic surrounding the monster, finley desperate to land a hit on her and, hopefully, take it down as soon as possible. Boo looked around for Teles. It was odd how she wasn't anywhere. The monster must have landed a hit on her. Boo pocketed his knife, making sure it was still within reach in case he needed it.

He circled the monster, making sure to stay crouched low to try and make sure that it didn't see him, scanning the ground. If Teles went down, he'd have to find her in the snow. He sneaked closer to the monster. She should be right here! He didn't understand where his weaver friend possibly could have gone. He was glad that she had helped him practise his magic. Now that he knew how to mend wounds, he'd be able to repay her for all the help she gave him with his magic troubles. He had felt like dead weight the entire expedition, especially with how much he worried Avezi on the journey here. Now, finally, he would be able to make himself useful.

Another body bumped into him, knocking him over into the snow. When he crawled back up he noticed the Draken, not someone he had met before, clutching their arm. The Draken was clearly in pain, but still took a step forward, tears and determination filling their eyes. Boo reached out for them, grabbing their other arm as the familiar feeling of the Flora magic they had been practising creeped over him. He frowned as he watched the wound stitch itself back together. It usually worked faster than this. His encounter with Avezi had taught him that forcing his magic faster wasn't a good option. Still, dread sunk into his heart at the realization. Could he not even help in this way?

It wasn't long before Boo realized he had done all he could. The improvement was clear, and the Draken muttered a quick thank you before throwing themselves back into the fight. Boo, in turn, continued on in his search for Teles. Nobody else seemed to be looking for her. He briefly wondered if Avezi would scold him later. Maybe he was breaking some unspoken combat rule. It wouldn't be the first time. He glanced into the crowd. He knew Avezi would be able to handle herself just fine, but still felt worried about his companion.

As he expected, she was handling the fight expertly, dodging the siren skilfully. Boo was glad that he didn't have to worry about her. He noticed the other Draken in the crowd, too. They seemed to be talking to an Astralit and, locking eyes with Boo, pushed them towards him. Wait what? As the Astralit got closer, throwing themselves at Boo, he noticed the blood running down their temple. Oh. He supposed he had received an unofficial promotion to field medic.

He quickly moved backwards, taking the Astralit with him as he looked for a safe spot to take cover. when he got there, tucked safely behind a small ledge, he looked at the Astralit. Just a small cut. It looked worse than it was because of the blood, really. He could do this.
