“Hello!” A soft-spoken and gentle voice called from afar, alerting the young adult Peony from her thoughts as she sat within one of the village's many tents, dearest companion and full grown Rockstomper Lime Thorin sitting close by her side-upon a different chair to work with his short stature-diligently as a self imposed guardian

“Oh, hi ma'am! You're Teles, right?” The pale blue Leporid nodded with a smile “I am, you wanted to learn some magic with me?” as a finger was brought to her chin “I sure do! I was hoping to try and practice with simple casts, like levitating something!”

Teles’ smile creeped more upon her face in excitement “Levitation! My, that does sound fun! Shall we get started?” “Oh yes please!”

“Are you sure you don't want to try yours first?” Was questioned with a slight head tilt, her floating ear drooping down with the steady pull of gravity “Oh no, I wouldn't want to get in your way. You go on ahead and try it before me, young one”

Before long the duo were studying and practicing the Crafter's magic and trying to figure out the specific properties and mental control required for such a task to be fulfilled. The bright greenish Nyulop stared intensely at the reddish-brown clay bowl in front of her with a determined expression, looking inwards to try and lock on to her own Mana to access its power for the task she very much so wanted to complete. Minutes passed in a silence between them only broken by the world outside, before, eureka! Her whiskers began to glow as she reached towards the small object sat upon the table and tried to make it float, straining with a tense muzzle and low grumble in her throat as an aura of the same yellow hue surrounded it and caused it to tremble “There it is! You nearly have it dear girl, keep trying!” Teles encouraged as the tip of her long fluffy tail lightly shook at the end, while she watched on with an ecstatic shine in her eyes

With this the smaller standard Nyulop became even more determined to achieve her goal, and soon it began to lift inches off of the surface it once stood on unmoving with just a light shaking as Peony struggled slightly to find the perfect balance in each necessary regard, but her strive to use this magic didn't strain or falter even slightly while its progress of elevation seemed to plateau, as this next step was just as important as any other in the line of capabilities of any Finley. With time and a limitless motivation like no other coursing through her veins the small dish began to float up further and further, raising her paws higher and higher in turn to keep a steady grip upon it and the magic that surrounded it with a grin so very wide and as bright as the sun just beyond the cloth and twine above their heads, the little bond watching this all silently with a warmth in his vividly bright red-orange eyes “I'm doing it! I'm really doing it!!”

“You are! That is absolutely wonderful work!” was told sweetly by the island weaver, clapping softly in cheerful pride as Peony began to slowly lower it back down after a few moments of keeping the object in the air, swooping Thorin up and spinning him around with celebratory laughter before setting him back down in his chair as he made lots of gleeful sounds in congratulations to the witnessed feat “That was awesome wasn't it bud? I'm so happy I could figure it out! Wasn't that awesome?!” More happy noises came from the Rockstomper in agreement as he placed his paws up onto the tabletop, proud of the Nyulop he is bonded to for being able to accomplish this. And after a few more moments of conversation between them they went their separate ways, as Peony and Thorin quickly left to the bonded duo's special place within the woodland to celebrate the success as the sun was beginning to set with plenty of sweets and light-less stargazing

Prior to this event the day had gone on with a peaceful light and only the ambience of nature and the Finley going about in the village the young woman called home, though she couldn't shake a faint feeling of dread and had been asking around for advice and ways she could contribute and help, magic being mentioned to her a few times so she promptly began to practice and study diligently even with no progress to her goal.. determined to help in any way she could even before learning of Teles and her peculiar dreams on those fated mountains that rested upon the isle. But after one too many failures Peony had begun to lose hope, though still powered through with her strong will and then sought out an individual that could relay to the Leporid her plea, and after their conversation she promptly went to where they then planned to meet.. and waited with baited breath as anxiety plagued her once silent mind
