Color Palettes and Color Picking
With the new LK site, we've decided to change up how the MYO palettes work and, to help demonstrate how the new palettes function below are examples of all three(3) methods on how to pick colors for your characters!
Color Placements
• You may have four (4) markings.
• You may use two (2) additional colours that are not the base colour on your character | Total of three (3) colors from the palettes below (not including accent colors)
Method 1: Single Palette
Image provided by shihai
All three(3) colors come from one(1) singular palette
Method 2: Two Palettes (Type A)
Image provided by BlueWolfTopaz
Base color plus one(1) secondary color come from the Palette A while the other secondary comes from Palette B
Method 3: Two Palettes (Type B)
Image provided by LuchuIsASquirrel
Base color comes from Palette A while both secondary colors come from Palette B
✔ Colour placement should not take up more than 40% of your character's body. Their base colour should be easily identifiable.
✔ Symmetrical placements count as a single placement. So if you put the same colour and placement on both of your characters's front paws it would count as one (1) placement.
✔ Markings added should not overlap or touch.
✘ Stripes, numerous small spots and overly complex markings are not allowed. Remember to keep your initial design simple, you'll be able to customize it later!
✘ Nyulop and Astralit start with flesh-toned tongues and mouths. Do not give them abnormal colours like green, blue, etc.

While these colors may now be free range in a sense, there is still a noted in-world preference for Affinities to stick to certain looks! Luckies tend to be lighter, Earth Draken tend to be greens or brown, and Gravity Astralit tend to be muted greyer shades, and so on. This is mainly to reference for those that want to stick to a more 'canon compliant' look for their Finley.
New form to fill out for applications
This form will help staff quickly figure out what colors youve chosen, making approval much easier! Please include this on every MYO you submit!
