Attacking the Siren

Te Fiti huffed and puffed when the expedition group FINALLY reached the peak of the snowy mountain. She glanced towards Teles, who was approaching the ring of rocks. "This is the spot I saw!" Teles exclaimed as she gently placed a paw on one of the two stones she stepped between. "There’s nothing here… No monster…" The nyulop’s voice grew harder to hear over the wind that started to HOWL. Te Fiti quickly shielded her eyes from the snowflakes that began whipping across her vision. She didn’t quite catch the last bit that Teles said, but the drakens' worry for the nyulop soon swelled as the weather worsened. “Teles! Be careful, the weather- .” She was lost as the squall grew stronger and visibility dropped to barely a few feet in front of the drakens' faces.

Te Fiti glanced around, even if the snow made it hard to see where Teles or any of the other expeditioners were located. “TELES! Where are you??” Her ears perked up when she finally heard movement in the snow. Te Fiti immediately worried when she saw a blue glow right above her. Then a monstrous head lowered itself in front of her. It had rows and rows of sharp teeth, no eyes, multiple arms, glands that glowed the same blue as its horrifying mouth, and a long serpentine body. She took a few steps backwards as the flurry calmed for just a few moments. Before she could fully react, the siren let out an ear-piercing shriek.

The siren lunges towards the earth draken, who was barely able to dodge the lunge attack. The serpentine creature quickly went for some other expeditioners nearby. Te Fiti quickly tries to think of ANYTHING to do to help. She glances around for anything that might help in her poor eyesight caused by the squalls' wind speeds and the blinding snow. Te Fiti notices a big rock barely visible due to being covered by the snow, and she QUICKLY picks it up. The earth draken looks around again for the siren, which she quickly locates. “HEY! YOU BIG OVERGROWN WORM! OVER HERE!” The siren quickly whips its head around to “look” at the draken; it then quickly lunges at her. Te Fiti immediately throws the rock right at the sirens face; it was briefly stunned before letting out another ear-piercing screech. It was definitely more pissed than before and lunged at Te Fiti with anger. The draken doesn’t step back this time; she readies her fists to attack it. The siren attempts to bite onto the earth draken, but Te Fiti barely manages to dodge and lands a hard punch onto the sirens gut.

The siren reels back from the punch before it could attack the draken again. An arrow pierces the skin, and it backs off from attacking the draken for just a moment. It quickly redirects its attention to another expeditioner who also yelled to distract it. The astralit who used the bow and arrow to attack the siren quickly approaches Te Fiti. “Are... are you okay?” Te Fiti quickly nods, “Y-Yeah! I’m fine. Just a bit shaken up!” The draken looked at the siren attacking the others, worry written across her face. “Have you seen Teles since this all started?” The astralit shook her head slowly; she hadn’t seen Teles at all. “My name is Lucy, by the way”. The draken meekly smiled at Lucy. “My name is Te Fiti!” Before any more conversation could happen, the siren's screech drew both of their attention. Te Fiti acts before thinking; she picks up another rock that she found in the snow. She quickly throws the rock at it again. “HEY, BIG GUY OVER HERE!” The siren whips its head around again before it could lunge at the draken again. Lucy quickly drew an arrow and shot at the siren yet again.
