Planning a trip
Boo had a deep frown decorating his forehead as he rummaged trough his belongings. He had never gone this far from home before, and didn't know in the slightest what to bring with him. What had Teles mentioned again? Warm clothes, food, and friends? Boo rummaged trough his belongings some more. He did have a nice, warm, poncho that Teles had made him. It was warm, but also awfully heavy. Would he have to worry about it slowing him down on the mountains?
He held the warm fabric in his hands as he thought it over. He hadn't noticed it slowing him down any during the last few weeks. Surely it'd be fine to take to the mountain.
Next on the list was food. This Boo was confident in, at least. The magic Teles had helped him learn had been extremely useful in making plants grow, and he had gladly taken that opportunity to help the villages stock up on fresh fruit and veggies. He had plenty laying around, mostly from his own vegetable patch, that he could bring along. Many of them were big, heavy fruits though. He pondered them for a bit- but then realized that this must be where the friends would come in. Of course, the more people they brought the more food they would need, but they could also divide the load much more easily!
Friends first then, he thought to himself. But who would want to come with him? Hmmm. Maybe Avezi would want to tag along? He hadn't known the Nyulop for long, but she seemed nice enough. And Avezi was practising magic, too! Maybe she had been practising with Teles, too. Then she would surely want to come along, right?
Boo hurriedly threw on the poncho. He knew roughly where the Nyulop lived, but he'd have to catch her before she went off to do her morning chores. As he dashed trough the village, he watched a silvery grey Nyulop emerge from one of the tents.
"Avezi! It's me, Boo!" Avezi looked around, confused at hearing her name mentioned. When she saw Boo, recognition flashed in her eyes. "Remember we met- we met during-" he slowed down in front of her, panting wildly from the run. "Hang on, give me a minute." Avezi watched Boo, a bit awkwardly, as he recovered.
"Can I help you with anything?" Avezi asked, a bit taken aback. "Im going up the mountain with Teles," Boo said, excitement seeping into his tone. "because she's been having these-" "Visions, I know. I was about to head into the village to find a weapon." Avezi said, to which Boo frowned "Why would you need a weapon? If you bring weapons, we won't be able to carry enough food."
Avezi simply sighed. "Because there's dangerous animals on the mountains. It wouldn't be smart to go up there without a weapon." Boo felt a bit stupid now. Of course he'd need a weapon. He had never held a weapon before though. He was a bit too accident-prone, and had quickly learned to avoid them. "Oh, right, ofcourse. How about we go find one together?"
